Lucky Stripes

Today being St. Patrick's Day the kids set their annual leprechaun trap. Every year we get out the box, and the kids leave a cracker under it to lure the little guy in. Then we wait.

The kids were surprised to get a letter each from Grandpa and Grandma McLean in the mail today. Anna wanted to write back right away, she even typed some of the email herself!

Later we noticed the trap had been triggered. Anna was too nervous to see a real leprechaun trapped, so Matt braved the unknown alone. Instead of a tiny lucky guy there were treats! He got away again.

The tag says "You are my pot 'o gold at the end of the rainbow".

Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!

  1. What a darling looking treat! You must have very talented leprechauns down your way! We too missed out on catching one. They got away and ate all the bait. Those stripped shirts are so cute as well!!!

  3. The 3rd picture, with Anna & Matt sitting on the portico....we put it as our desktop. We think Matt could pass for a little Irish leprachan, but we're glad he didn't get trapped. Cute kids, cute treats!
