Zoo Monday

Just to warn you, this post is really long. Tons of pictures today! Anna's school occasionally has what's called "minimal Monday's" where the kids get out of school at 12:30-sweet! So we decided to take full advantage of our Monday and get to the Zoo! The weather was not really nice (notice the full winter gear:coats, hats, and mittens). But that meant that we had the place practically to ourselves! We were really excited to see the baby elephant, but it was so cold that the elephants were inside so we didn't get to see anything but these old bones.
Matt was doing his happy dance in the reptile house.
Yes, I made them pose in front of the giant tortoise.
Anna has been really into reading about big cats lately, so it was really fun to see these tigers so close! They had four tigers in there!
Checking out a vulture. Or maybe he's checking them out?!
The kids picked out these cute tigers that came with a leash. Anna named hers "Rainbow" and Matt named his "Lightning".
In the gopher holes.
At the playground.

It's over!
